Temporary Housing

When you are first arrivinig at the University of Maryland, you might not have your apartment or room in a house rented, so you need a temporary place to stay. Below you will find a list of some places around the University, College Park, and Washington DC that provide housing for a few days or a few weeks.

    • This is a rooming house. Rooms are available by the night ($55-$65 / single-double) or by the week ($215-$260 / single-double). 8 bedrooms share 2 bathrooms. Each room has a mini refrigerator; a microwave and coffeepot are in the hall. Children are not allowed. Credit cards are not accepted. 
  • International Guest House

    • 5 rooms are available with space for 12 guests. Cost is $30 per person per night or $190 per week, and guests share bathroom facilities. The maximum length of stay is two weeks for international guests and one week for U.S. residents. Reservations are recommended.
  • Norwich International Guest House

    • 10 minute bus ride to National Archives
      Most of our guests are visiting MBA and PhD canidates interviewing at University of Maryland and National Archives researchers doing short term intense study . Norwich House maintains an academic environment. Reservations are necessary.
