Graduate Resources
Being a new graduate student can be a bewildering experience. We struggle with long hours of work
and study, lack of money and sleep, and inordinate levels of stress. Frequently
we have to grapple with cultural barriers and geographical dislocation, language
barriers, and very fragile or non-existent support networks. Nevertherless,
there are opportunities that can make our
life a little easier and provide support in case of difficulty or emergencies.
We hope the following resources will help. Please let us know if you have any suggestions.
The Graduate Handbook is the official resource guide for graduate students on campus and it is full of very useful information. It covers academic deadlines, social life and recreation, career services, counseling and victim services, financial information and much more. The Handbook is maintained by the Office of Graduate Student Life.
