Diwali Celebrations
24 Oct 09 at 6:30 PM until 24 Oct 09 at 11:30 PM
Diwali is also named ‘Festival of Lights' and is one of the biggest festivals of India celebrated across the country by one and all! SCI celebrates Indian New Year to capture this spirit of India and so that Indians in and around UMD can keep their traditions alive. We have a range of events including cultural performances by SCI members, an Indian dinner and a DJ dance floor (Indian music and performances). SCI invites everyone to be a part of our traditions and celebrate India!
There is a entrance fee of $4 for SCI members and $8 for guests.
Since Diwali celebrates this most culturally diverse festival of our homeland, SCI invites you to get dressed up in ethnic Indian wear.
This event is sponsored in part by your Student Fees and is open to all graduate students.
