Announcements

  1. Next GSG Assembly Meeting: Fri., 4 April 2003; the Maryland Room

  2. There will be a GSG Student Affairs Meeting this coming week - announced on the forums - that will have everything discussed. Including, but not limited to:

Parking Increases: DBK had it wrong, only 2$ was for the 'Jump Start'/Pit Crew service. The rest is the normal increase.

Parking Other: MetroChek and Pre-tax parking fees for Graduates on University Payroll (all assistants) - where it stands, and when it will be implemented.

Bus Routes: ONLY the nite route was changed to Grad. Hills/Grad Gardents (5pm on). Being that ridership is SO low at this time, door to door service is cheaper and better for everyone in the long run. It's not worth having a bus run that route to serve a very limited number of people (by very limited, I mean less then 10).

Parking Preference: Motions are in order to give all graduates preference in parking over all undergraduates and be assigned parking PRIOR to any lotteries occurring. Some issues still exist as to whether or not this should happen for ALL grads or just assistants.

Tuition Remission: No comment. It does not appear to be moving at all forward (removing it) and action is already being undertaken. Prior to some move being made by Annapolis/etc. I cannot reasonably 'move' on this aside from supporting protests, voicing our opinion, etc. On another side, however, I will immediately submit legislation calling for a GSG backed Graduate Assistant strike if this does occur.
